CascadiaNow! had a lovely weekend down at our first ever Seattle Hempfest this past weekend! We were located very visibly at booth 303, just near the South entrance, and had an awesome time just talking with everyone who came by our table, and spreading the word. It was a really fun mix of folks who knew about Cascadia, had heard of it once or twice from a friend, or who had been seeing the symbol all over and wanted to learn more. What definitely blew us away though was just the sheer diversity of folks who loved the idea! All types of folks, ages, from all over the place!
Despite Friday being a bit of a wash out (literally) with all of the rain, thunder and lightning, over the course of the weekend, we raised more than $1300, gave away more than 5000 stickers and every piece of paper with our contact info, and talked with several dozen folks interested in getting more active, volunteering with CN, or spreading the idea to their communities.
A huge thanks to all of our wonderful tabling volunteers who made this weekend happen, including Andrew, Ethan, Brandon, Thunder, Harris, Jake, Adrianna, Isaac, Aslan, Danny, Henry and Rose!
