Our community is facing a multitude of serious threats — coal companies want to make us the destination for 18 coal trains a day, and oil producers are already running dangerous oil trains through Bellingham right now.
Unfortunately, the challenges don’t stop there. Lots of work is needed to protect water quality, develop solutions to eliminate waste, and fight legal battles that enforce our environmental laws. That’s why we’re teaming up with local breweries to host a fun, community-building July 4th beer festival that will raise the funds we need to maintain and grow these important efforts.
We hope it’ll help us reach new audiences with the importance of protecting our way of life while giving our community something fun, local, and exciting to do on the Fourth of July.
