UW Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship sponsors the Environmental Innovation Practicum. with speakers discussing cleantech solutions to pressing environmental issues.
Joel Swisher, Director of Western Washington University’s new Institute for Energy Studies began his work in the energy industry after graduating from Stanford University with a PhD in Environmental Engineering in 1991. Since then, he’s served as the Managing Director of the Rocky Mountain Institute for seven years, a Senior Energy Scientist at Denmark’s UNEP Collaborating Centre on Energy and Environment for two years, and ran a clean energy consulting business for the past four years, among serving in other roles.
