Red Sky in Morning: Ethics and Climate Change: The Earth and Spirit Green Team at Grace Episcopal Church is hosting a community gathering of people from faith and community organizations to explore our moral and ethical response to climate change – featuring an inspiring presentation by Kathleen Dean Moore followed by opportunities for discussion and action.

Kathleen Dean Moore, distinguished Professor of Philosophy at Oregon State University, travels widely to speak about climate change as a moral crisis. At this event, she will talk about the “Red Sky in Morning: Ethics and Climate Change.” In a flood of extinctions and on-rushing global warming, what can one person do to change the course of the river? Why should anyone try? Where do we find the courage and the hope? How will we make ourselves worthy of the dreams of our descendants? In a presentation that is equal parts anger and love, writer/philosopher Kathleen Dean Moore speaks about the nature of change and calls us to radical truth-telling and courageous citizenship.

Along with Earth Ministry, co-sponsors include Bainbridge Island North Kitsap Interfaith Council; Suquamish United Church of Christ, Sound Spirit; and Earth and Spirit at Grace Episcopal Church.
