Now, more than ever, bold climate action is needed in WA state. We hope you will join us at our first 350Seattle.org PNW Pledge of Resistance event, as we learn about the power and responsibility we have to help stop all new fossil fuel projects in the region

With the Federal government in the hands of a science-denying racist, we need to win bigger than ever at the state level. In WA, that means an end to all new fossil fuel projects. It is within Governor Inslee’s power to make that happen — and that is exactly what we’re going to demand in 2017. That is why we are building power and mobilizing now.
At this event, we will be joined by Sightline policy director Eric de Place, who will talk briefly about the strategic importance of the PNW to the fossil fuel industry, and how if we stop fossil fuel projects here, we really do keep fossil fuels in the ground.
We will then break into groups, learning more about how we can work together to ensure that WA state bans all new fossil fuel projects and stands strong against the Trump regime.

P.S. If you can join us, we’re hosting a Seattle Stands With Standing Rock rally this Thursday, Dec. 1, at 2pm at Wells Fargo Center downtown. Wells is one of the biggest DAPL funders, and we’ll be trying to persuade them to mend their ways! RSVP and more info here.
