On May 13th, 14th and 15th thousands of people will converge at Shell and Tesoro’s March Point refineries by land and sea. For three days hundreds of us will use our bodies to stop the fossil fuel economy and demand a just transition to renewable energy. Shell and Tesoro’s refineries are the most potent symbols of the fossil fuel industry in our region.
We intend to disrupt operations at the refineries enough–and long enough–to force a real conversation around the necessity of a transition to clean energy much faster than anything currently being considered.
There will be many actions happening around the world that weekend as part of the ‘Break Free From Fossil Fuel’ campaign.
