When filmmakers Jen and Grant decided to live off discarded food for six months, they thought they’d be scrounging to survive. Much to their surprise, that wasn’t the case. A cinematic story that is equal parts education and delicious entertainment. (74 min.)
Imagine going grocery shopping, leaving the store with five grocery bags, and letting one spill all over the parking lot as you walk away. Shocking? And yet that’s what many of us do without even realizing it. Food producers, restaurants and retailers, throw even more into landfills. Food waste is a serious problem including implications for food insecurity and climate change. Veronica Fincher from SPU’s Love Food, Stop Waste Program will also speak. Special Guests: Food Lifeline & City Fruit.
