Pride of Ellensburg
LGBTQ Community Pride Organization of Ellensburg and Upper Kittitas County
Pride of Ellensburg inspires and celebrates love, equality and diversity through local events, outreach, and fostering opportunity within the larger Ellensburg community and the larger LGBTQ community reaching into the Upper Kittitas county.
Through education and outreach programs, we envision our reach supporting other communities in Central Washington, which historically has been an under-served and unsafe area for the LGBTQ community.
Pride of Ellensburg is a nonprofit, community organization dedicated to inspiring and celebrating love, equality and diversity through local events, outreach and fostering opportunity. Pride of Ellensburg is responsible for the signature Ellensburg Pride Festival and Parade.
Ellensburg Pride is a shared experience meant to inspire and celebrate the Pride we carry in ourselves, in each other, and our community.
Pride of Ellensburg was started in late 2015 by experienced community activists; the first meetings were held in the United Methodist Church in downtown Ellensburg. They were later moved to the Grace Episcopal Church. On March 20, 2016, Pride of Ellensburg became an official Non-Profit organization through the fiscal sponsorship of CascadiaNow! Working with Gallery One and the Ellensburg Downtown Association, Pride of Ellensburg put on its inaugural Pride Parade and Festival in downtown Ellensburg’s Rotary Pavilion and Wells Fargo Parking Lot. During it’s planning for the second pride festival, Pride of Ellensburg moved into their official office at the Lakeview Business Center on Dolarway Road in Ellensburg, Washington.
