Cascadia Convergence

Share. Learn. Connect. Celebrate.

Cascadia Convergence is an annual gathering and campout for Cascadians to come together to share, learn, connect, and celebrate, and the rest is up to you! What do you have to share with your fellow Cascadians? Why is learning about bioregionalism important? How can we best connect with each other and our beautiful space on this planet? What are the best ways to celebrate our love of Cascadia?

About Cascadia Convergence

2018 Cascadia Convergence The first Cascadia Convergence was started in 2014 and was originally called "Rainingman" at Finney Farm in Skykomish, WA. Each year, it has travelled to a new destination and hosted by a wonderful crew of Cascadians, from the Mima Mounds in Olympia in 2015, to Mt. Rainier in 2017, and the latest held in Brooklyn WA in 2018. At Cascadia Convergence, we hope that everyone interested in the idea of Cascadia can meet face to face, and have a great time camping. Each year, this awesome, fun filled, family-friendly weekend features art, music, presentations and workshops. We bring together a variety of different interests and groups so that a range of Cascadian perspectives are represented. We focus on bringing people together, organizing and planning, and building community. This event is volunteer run and organized, with most costs coming out of pocket of organizers. If you are able, please think about donating. We encourage everyone to think about what they can bring – art, workshops, games, installations, instruments… Volunteers Needed! Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome!

If you would like to volunteer, please email

To make this event open to everyone, it is entirely run by your donations, please make a contribution as part of your registration form. You make it happen! Campers, activists, authors, causes, educators, groups, individuals, organizations, performers, presenters, and anyone who wants to be a part of building a stronger Cascadia community – we can’t wait to see you there! Thank You for Your Support But There Will be No 2016 Rainingman

To each of you who have supported this years Cascadia Culture Festival, Rainingman, through purchasing tickets, offering to volunteer or applying to share your art, products, skills and knowledge, THANK YOU! Unfortunately, there was just not enough interest in the festival this year to make it happen. Please stay tuned for a possible festival revamp including new dates and a new venue in 2017! We hope to see you all then!

Thank you! Rainingman 2015 was awesome

Everyone who attended Cascadia Rainingman 2015 made a unique contribution to the positive feel of our Cascadian community.

Some contributions were more obvious.

Thank you to the fantastic hospitality of our Rainingman hosts, Dina and William of Music on the Mounds, who have welcomed hundreds of campers and concert-goers to their home in the sole pursuit of togetherness and good times.
