CascadiaNow! is seeking an environmentally-minded and independently working volunteer student intern to help reduce our operational footprint. A knowledge of Microsoft excel or similar is recommended. Duties include:
- Determining ecological footprint of CascadiaNow! Staff and general operations
- Conduct interviews with staff
- Conduct research on other comparable nonprofits/organizations and determine how they keep their ecological footprint at a minimum
- Conduct research and cost-analysis of shipping methods and materials with consideration of sourcing and sustainability
- Prepare proposal at end of internship, identifying recommendations to the organization as to how to reduce the overall footprint
Time commitment: flexible ~4 hours/wk, 3 months, unpaid, potential for academic credit
